how long..............

after you had a "show" did it take for your labour to start?? ive had backache, nausea, and contractions on and off since saturday. about 1pm today i had a "show" and was just wondering how long afterwards labour usually starts? ive never had one with my boys until labour was well under way, so this is new to me  

I had my bloody show at 12am and was at the hospital dilated to 4-5 at 3am
So right after.

I had my show at 9am. Didnt go to the hospital till 2pm I was 8-9cm

hmm thanx. im having contractions atm, but they are still tolerable, DH has just gone to his dads to watch the football for his birthday, so if this is the "big event" i hope bubba hangs on long enough to at least let them watch the match LOL

i dont even know whether i should phone my midwife or not? just want to wait until i cant take anymore before i go telling the daddy i need him lol

Around 16 hours, but my water broke as well.  

I went into labor 2 days after I had my show. I hope you don't have to wait that long. Good luck!

Had my show at about 6 am had her by 3pm but was also in labor for two days prior

thank you. been having "niggly" little feelings and contractions since saturday, but im only 36 1/2 weeks, still getting more irregular pains now, and im home alone, was wondering if was worth gettin my DH home lol. think i may just try and wait it out, see if it keeps going or not
