When to take ovulation tests?

Can I just pick a random day and start taking these ovulation tests. I have a months supply. I read somewhere that you are suppose to start them on cycle day 11 but I don't know when my cycle day 11 is. I don't know anything about it because I haven't had a period since before I was pregnant with my son and he's 13 months old now. I'm not sure if I'm ovulating or not since I haven't had one and DH and I are going to start TTC in october. So can I start them any day? TIA

Typically if your cycles are regular (come every 28-32 days) then you should be ovulating 14 days from the first day you started your last period. I believe you only ovulate for 3-5 days. I would hold off taking an ovulation test until around the 14th day. Good luck.

Sorry I didnt read all of the post before replying. Since you have not had a period...there is no way to no when any day of your cycle is so I would take a test every couple days for a month.

You might want to go to Dr to get some help to jumo start your period first. If not you are more than likely gonna waste a lot of money on them tests.

Oh, I just I should have said in the op that I'm still breastfeeding. That's why I haven't had a period yet.
