More accurate way to track weight loss

When trying to lose weight then what do you track closer? Or which is more accurate in your opinion? Or if you do a combination then what combination do you do?

I did both measurements AND how clothes fit.
I rarely checked the scales.

All of the above.

I recently started working out, I've lost about 10 pounds (of 60 needed) and 1 inch from my waist but my underwear no longer fit and I LOVE it

Well for weight loss would be the scale.

For fat loss & toning would be measuring tape, as well as how clothes fit but then you don't know how much.

I have had food issues (both binging and purging at different points in my life along with the severe abuse of diet pills, at one point I was taking 4 different brands along with 2 fat burners and only eating 1000 calories a day YIKES) in the past and when I try to lose weight I have been known to go about it in a severely unhealthy way. This time I am trying to be healthy about it and I know that means it will be slower than the prior times. How often would you check the scales? I don't want the slow progress to deter what I am doing right.

I have an eventual goal weight, however I am mainly just trying to get healthy again. That means losing weight, unsure how much at this point, I am going off of my own comfort in my body.

Holy eff.....sorry about the tangent I went on. I don't usually bring it up, but I have been so tempted to force this weight loss by going the unhealthy way. I have not done so and am using BG to help get advice to avoid doing so.

Fitness pal is what i was using too. You can track ur weight and ur meals and it will calculate calories. You can also scan the bar code on any item if its not searchable and it will upload all info. Also, have you tried zumba or any other dance routine? LO loved doing the dancing with me so it helped her get exercise too plus it helped with cutting inches off iand toning instead of just weight loss

I do zumba once if not twice a week and if I don't do zumba twice I do yoga the other day. I can only go to night classes at the gym since I can't afford to add the daycare to my gym package and my DH has agreed to put both kids to bed 2 nights a week (we take turns putting each kid to bed). I don't want to abuse his willingness to help. The other days I work out I do 45-60 minutes of cardio or 30 minutes of cardio and strength training. I do a 2 day off, 1 day off schedule.

You can look up up more zumba dances on youtube and you can stay at home and do them.
