pp bleeding

My question is ..when you have a C-section is the bleeding the same or worse than a vaginal birth?
I just heard that when you have a C-section it can be vaccumed out or something and wouldn't be as bad ....wondering if it was true....
sorry it may be a stupid question but I was just wondering since im having a C-Section on the 22nd....I want to be prepared for the after effects.....

I had my c-section on the 8th of April, and I'm still bleeding/oozing.
They can't really vaccume it out, as it's not just the whole birthing proccess that causes it, it's also your uterus contracting back to it's regular size.
But everyone is different, and the amount of time you bleed will be entirely up to your body.
I'de stock up on pads though.

I've had 2 c-sections and I didn't bleed for very long at all... maybe a week or so. That also may have been because I was breastfeeding too.

I've had 2 vaginal births and 1 c-section. I definately think you bleed less after a c-section. I'm 3 weeks PP and have stopped bleeding. And the bleeding that I did have wasn't bad at all.
But then again, I'm sure everyone is different.
