erection during labor?

anyone else's significant other experience this? I am just wondering what in the world caused my husband to have an erection while I was giving birth?  

umm ..I haven't been there yet..but congrats on the new baby ..
I'm watching this thread though ...cause who knows it may happen to me and my hubby !

It's kind of embarrassing really because I really hope it wasn't because I had a woman delivering my baby! I would hate to think he was "imagining" a sexual experience rather than the miracle of child birth...  I really hope someone can help me...

Maybe he was just really turned on to see what you were enduring to bring your baby into this world?/
It's possible that he was just so in love w/ you at that moment ...that somehow he was overwhelmed..
I would doubt that it's because a lady was delivering your baby..but thats just me..I wish I knew a better answer for you..
I would be scared of the opposite happening w/ my hubby ..I'm afraid he'll never want to see my lady stuff again after he sees me in labor..

First of all, that is hilarious, but I bet you were embarrassed. You poor thing. Were you making noise? Maybe it was the noises you were making. It may not have been anything sexual at all. Maybe it was just because the excitement was making his blood flow. Sometimes guys gets erections while working out because of the blood flow. I don't know. By the way, congrats!!

this one is interesting....but at least u know that he will still have that interest in u.....i think my hubby will faint n not watch n e thing lol he is very sencible lol don't know y

Maybe he was remembering how that baby got there in the first place.  

I read somewhere that when you give birth, men find that strong and primitive and yes, SEXY. They think your toughness is a turn on. I doubt it has anything to do with sexual fantasies, more like the fact that your such a strong woman and your bringing his child into the world and being such a champ about it that he thinks your sexy and wonderful and glad your his woman.

There are a ton of other things that cause erections in men than sex... All sorts of bloodflow issues, and sometimes they spring one for no reason! Like morning wood. Had he been sleeping before? It could also just have been excitement... of the platonic nature that made his blood pressure rise. Or maybe you were just really hot during labor. lol I wouldn't stress about it. I would just ask him what was "up" hehe.

i just asked my husband if he knew anything about it, and said maybe adrenaline...

then he said, maybe he just likes that sort of thing... maybe get him some birthing videos for his birthday
