Anyone else having a hard time?

My baby boy is going to start kindergarten in sept and I tear up thinking about it. I love his little adorable face, and I can't picture him in school all day long. He is a little shy not like my outgoing older son. He is also so picky with food, I don't even know what to do for lunches. I am going to cry hysterical after putting him on the bus.

My oldest DD starts preschool in like 19 days. I know I will cry when I put her on the bus  

I get so excited for my kids when they start school! They love it.

Nope, I'm excited for my son to start kindergarten. He will do well, and will learn so much. Can't wait for him To start reading.

I can't wait for DS to be in pre-k. He loves school already since he did headstart so we are counting down the days together.

I felt the same way with my daughter. Was sad and nervous. But the time has come and gone an she loves it. The year is almost over and she will be in 1st grade come feb   . Where does the time go? She's a picky eater too, but surprisingly she eats all her lunch with no fuss, even helps me made it every morning. And I love the extra time during the days with my son. And the quiet lol.

Nope..cant wait to get her out the door lol. I am so not sensitive like that at all...I have 3 kids so this yr my 4 yr old plus my 10 yr old will be gone all day yay cant wait. Then it will be me and my 6m old (7m in sept) home just us for 8 nice long hrs lol....

I knew before they were even planned that I'd homeschool my children, since I myself was and couldn't imagine a childhood in a school. But when my oldest was 3 (going on 4) I started getting pressured to put her into JK and I let it get to me against my better judgment.

I made myself take her for the first week and it was miserable for me. She was never terribly upset or opposed to it nor was she excited about it. Had she liked it I would have stuck it out for her. But she didn't seem impressed by it at all one way or the other and was happy to stay home, so it worked out. After that week I threw in the towel and went back to my original plan. Best decision ever.

To homeschool do you need a teaching degree?

Nope! No US state or Canadian province requires a teaching degree.

Here's a list of all the US states and their laws. NY IIRC has some of the strictest, but they're usually way worse on paper than they are in practice.
