Raspberry tea?

posted 7th Aug '12
I keep seeing it posted on here and was wondering, what is it? Well, more like what does it do exactly? I'm 36 weeks and have a scheduled c-section in 4 weeks (day before my due date) but if I could go into labor on my own and have a VBA2C I would be so much more at ease with delivering. My doctor turned me down for a VBA2C because of my "small pelvis and large babies" and I would LOVE to go into labor on my own. If there are some tricks I could get for 38+ weeks to possibly send me into labor, that'd be awesome. FYI, sex does nothing for my cervix, we've had sex since the beginning without any false labors, etc. Little about my previous pregnancies: first I was induced at 39 weeks 4 days, labored for 27 1/2 hours, had her head half way out and the doctor shoved her back in (smurf, ouch! pain thinking about it!!) and called an emergency c-section said I couldn't deliver without killing her/us. She was 9lbs 9oz at birth. Second was 13 months later and a scheduled c-section. Didn't know I had any other options or I would have fought it. She was 8lbs 15oz at birth. Youngest will be 3 years 9 months when I deliver. I know babies come when they want to and I have until 39 weeks 6 days to go on my own but I'd like to try to see if I can go on my own before my c-section. Can't blame me for wanting to try in a couple weeks, right?

It's red raspberry LEAF tea. It tones the uterus.

But if you're doctor has turned you down for a VBA2C, then I don't think it would matter if you went into labor or not.. they'd probably just do your c-section right then.

I just saw the raspberry tea, didn't pay attention to the rest of it ;) IF I go into labor on my own, I would wait as long as possible before going to the hospital. Only way I'd go right then and there was if my water broke because I don't want to chance it. I know my body can do it, I went into labor the morning of my scheduled c-section with our middle daughter but I was already hooked to the monitors at the hospital. I don't care to have a repeat c-section, it's just I have wanted since the beginning to at least try to have a vaginal again even if I do fail..

Its raspberry leaf tea---and I heard it helps ease the pain of contractions, which is why I started to drink it---But it didn't help with anything lol.

Yep. It's really good for toning the uterus.   You can get it in capsule form, too, cus I hear it's nasty as crap to drink.

Really? I'll have to look into that, because it really did work for the reason you said---It's not bad as a tea itself, def. not my favorite though lol.

Yeah. I don't drink tea so I was stoked to find it in capsules at the health food store!
