re: Is It Me? So Upset

Quoting Ms. Von Fate:“ Lots of things could become an issue in the future-doesn't mean she should stress herself out about them before they're even relevant-now that's just unhealthy.”
That is so true. It probably won't become a issue and when it does tackle that battle the day it comes. Alot of people on here post about "what ifs" I remember one post about a "punk" girl who had a "prep" boyfriend and they both had views on how they would dress their daughter or what sports she would play. Who is to say your daughter will even want to ride a motorcycle at that age? I understand your concerns but I wouldn't turn it into a fight when baby is nowhere near a age where your husband would put her on a bike and he doesn't even own one yet.

I was taken for a ride on a motercycle when I was five. And I rode in the back. No matter what you drive, there is always going to be a risk involved.

Wait until he has a child, see if he acts differently. i assure you, he will!

It's not paranoia, it's common sense. No seatbelts, no protective body gear, nothing. If she flies off, and she will if he wrecks, she'll be lucky to survive. I think it should be illegal to put children on a motorcycle, but that's my opinion.

Quoting Ms. Von Fate:“ I tthink you're being extreme not in what you want for your child, but in being so upset about it when ... [snip!] ... none of your business, really.I'd worry about it more when the time comes closer, instead of now, when it's really a non-issue.”

lol your such a bitch, it astounds me...

But on the matter of motercycles ect..
My dad just bought a harley.. and he takes my kids to church every sunday.. I told him he cant take them anymore unless he takes my car or his hella nice truck...because i will be damned if my son is going to hang on going down the freeway... ANYTHING can happen. And to me its not worth the risk of losing a child. PERIOD. If my husband attemped to ride off with our kid on a bike i would kick his ass. There is no debate its not happening PERIOD. Not now, and not until i KNOW he will be able to hang on properly.. maybe like.. 45 or somethin lol. I think your hubby has an issue with the fact that life isnt going to be all about him and his wants/ needs (i remember talking to you about some issues awhile back) Men are big kids in thier own right... you have to be the bigger parent in order to keep your kids safe in most (not all) relationships i find that it falls to the woman to do this.
