What all will I need after I have my baby?

I'm about to be a first time Mom in 24 days & I have no clue as to what I need to get for me for after she gets here. I know of course the pads, but I don't know of anything else. & no one will help me to figure it out.

Oh for you?? You will get a lot of pads from the hospital, I don't remember how many of my own I used. Also some colace or stool softener. Also some people suggest putting I think its witch hazel on the pads and freezing them for extra comfort. If you are BFing you'll want some breast pads and lanolin. Its been a while so thats really all I can think of.

There isn't really anything you will need for yourself aside from maybe a nursing bra, nursing pads, maybe a breast pump, lanolin....

Pads definitely, comfy clothes, regular underwear, socks or slippers, hair brush and tooth brush and mints/gum (stuff to freshen you up basically- even make up!) it will make you feel a ton better! If you are going to nurse- a nursing bra or tank, breast pads, and the cream.

Make sure yOu bring a camera and get pictures of you and the baby!!

Yes, the hospital gives you pads, and you can ask them for more if you want to. I did, and they gave me two bags full. lol. I wanted to make sure, and I really liked the one type they gave me.

Theirs are way more super absorbent than the ones you can buy. I just hate how you feel like you are wearing a diaper  

Even if you dont BF........get brest pads......i didnt b/f but my brest leaked for a week afther having my LO.
also get absent salt for bathes....
and a donut pillow to sit! I LOVED mine lol.....

Like other suggested if you are nursing lanolin, nursing bra or loose fitting sports bra works great, I like wearing pj's for the first few days (or yoga pants with loose top). I ended up having to buy some tuck pads b/c I ended up with a hemorrhoid pushing and I bought some dermaplast for the 1 stitch I had b/c I ran out of the stuff they sent home with me. I used the pads and mesh panties while at the hospital and took a few of the mesh panties home with me until it was lighter and some of the belly had gone down (plus my clit area hurt so I didn't want anything tight). I didn't want tight panties when my crotch was swollen..lol (Same for my c-section I wore the mesh panties for 2 weeks b/c I didn't want anything to rub my incision). I then wore my own pads the infinite super pads are awesome b/c of how thin they are and conform to your body. For when my milk came in I wet 2 diapers and froze them and after I would nurse I would put them on my breast and this helped with some of the pain of engorgement and I only had to do it for about a day or so. (Just rewet and freeze don't ruin a bunch of diapers)
