26 weeks pregnant and just found out I might be having TWINS

I went to my doctors appointment yesterday and in the middle of my ultra sound my doctor said to me "you are having one baby right?" we giggled and replied with a long yesssss. She looked so confused because for some reason she was seeing TWO heads! One at the top of my belly and one at the bottom. She can only hear one heart beat but they might be in sync with eachother. Its very shocking that I might be having twins because I have had many ultra sounds. She thinks she might be getting a mirrored image or the babies have been hiding behind one another this whole time. I go in tomorrow to another ultra sound tech with better equitment to make a confirmation. Anybody ever expierence this?!!!

No, but wow! Omgsh! I would have probably passed out!

My bet would be an echo because babies are pretty big at 26 weeks. They'd be close to 2 lbs each by now.

mine were in seperate sacs and fraternal so I knew at an ultrasound at 7wks we were having twins. but thats exciting! good luck =)

I would flip smurf if I didn't find out I was having twins until 26 weeks. And I mean a bad flip smurf, not good.

I have heard that twins can sync up heartbeats before, and I guess one could have been in front of the other... I hope you get the results you want! Twins are a LOT of work (so I hear) but they are also so fun!

My aunt had twin and didn't know until she gave birth!!!
She had her first daughter and then the nurse was like "Doctor is there another baby in there, or is it just a leg?!"
Yeah that would be a great way to find out your having twins lol

well at least you didnt find out at birth? LOL congratulations if you are having twins, what a story to tell!
