36 weeks 3 cm dilated :)

Hey there Mama's,
So at 35 weeks I went into preterm labor and was admitted cause my contractions were 5 mins apart and 1 min in length. Well they hooked me up to an IV and also gave me medication to stob labour since they said I was preterm. I was then discharged the next morning and 4 hours after I got home my contractions started up again and lasted for 6 hours at 5 mins apart 1 min in length again. Went back in but they said I havent progressed in dilation and since my water has not broken they will not help my labor progress till 37 weeks. I was hooked up to an IV again and then when contractions stopped I was sent back home. Well its been a week now and im 36 weeks and im still having contractions 5-10 mins apart and 1 min in length still but my water hasnt broken. Im exhausted from all the pain and not being able to sleep and then running after my 2 year old son while my fiance works. Contractions all day and night really wear on you. My son was born at 36 weeks and I sat at 3cm dilated for a week before he was born so my question is could she be on her way soon? My OB says anyday now but still nothing. I asked him if I would go full term possibly but he said no since im already 3cm and have a past history of premmie. I wanted to know if any other mothers have sat at 3cm dilated for a few days until their lil one showed up or if they proved their OB wrong and gone full term? I have been told that im measuring 39 weeks and that she is over 7 pounds and healthy so if she were to come now it would be safe

i was 2cm at 37 weeks and was only 3cm at 39 weeks it took another 12 hours for him to arrive.
measurements can be wrong so she might not be over 7 lbs and just because you measure 2 weeks ahead doesnt mean you are. hopefully little one can stay in till past 37 weeks good luck.

i was 3cm since 31 weeks and went all the way to 39wks 2days and i was induced because the pain was unbearable but i was stuck at 3cm for quite a while, i then labored for 23hrs and he was onlyy 6lbs 11oz

I always end up 2 to 3 cm's dilated for the last month and a half of pregnancy. Sometimes longer than that. I always manage to make it full term. Also, baby size = baby development. It just means a chunky baby with the lungs of a 36 weeker.

I was that with all 5 of my kids starting at 30 weeks and they induced and broke my water at 36 weeks cause they weren't gaining any weight and I was in pain misserable couldn't eat stand sit walk or sleep it all depends on your Obgyn and what they practice

Well she arrived August 7th 2012 weighing 6 pounds at 36 weeks gestation   Healthy Happy lil camper. Guess I sat at 3 cm for a week and a bit just like my son before my water broke in bed <3
