Implanon

Do any of you ladies have this? Do you like it? Experience side effects? How was the procedure to get it put in? I have an appointment Wednesday to discuss it with my doctor. I think it want this for sure. Don't need to remember to do anything so it makes it easier for my crazy life. It also lasts 3 years which is the amount of time I wanna wait to TTC again. It's terrible I'd never recommend it.

Hated it! Worst birth control I've ever had. Would never recommend it. But everyone is different. I gained 40lbs, bled constantly (every 2 weeks or more). Terrible mood swings. It didn't hurt getting put in because it was numb but my arm was sore for about 2 days after.

Well I used to have it. They use a scalpel to cut your arm and then insert the rod. I only had it for a month 1/2. I bled the whole time, I had horrible acne, and gained 10 pounds in that amount of time. I also had horrible headaches, and was a total bitch.

She didn't insert mine with a scalpel she used a device that looked like a straw

I just got mine removed today. The main reason being that I bled pretty much non stop since getting it in 10 months ago. I also had headaches quiet a bit. Getting it in didn't hurt at all. They numb your arm first. I just had a bruise for a few days afterwards and my arm was a little sore.

I thought it kind of hurt getting it put in. ( the numbing shot hurt like a bitch) But overall i do like it. except for the massive mood swings. i would recommend it

It turned me into an evil bitch.,I lost my sex drive 100%, bled every two weeks and bruised like crazy ( although they say it was unrelated it stopped within a week of removal)
Horrible horrible horrible birth control  

On a positive note insetion and removal was a breeze lol

Well I love it. Have had it for 4 years now and will go back on it if i ever go off to TTC.

Ya in the beginning I bled but after my body got used to it, it was total smooth sailing.

I've had my for almost a year, I spot randomly but no heavy bledding. I stil wouldn't recommend it, but hated the Mirena so I'm stuck with it.

Here's my blurb from a PP. I got it taken out a week ago. I bled heavy 4 months straight, gained weight and at the end was having really dark suicidal like thoughts. I tried cutting it out myself. It's been out a week and I've been my happy go lucky self since.

My husband left work a few times because he was worried about me. Ive felt fine since it came out.

I actually know A LOt of ladies who have had the same experience. A good chunk of them on here. that is how I found out about it when I was getting off the shot.

After all these negative comments I am happy to finally see a good one!! Best thing I can do is try it. Hopefully I don't gain weight. Do you know any ladies who put on weight?

Im an evil bitch too with no sex drive... lol Thats why I wouldn't recomend it, but I don't really have many other options. To bad for my SO lol
