re: Scheduled c-section question

.Quoting Maurena Dionisio:" Im not sure what you mean. U want to know When the c-section will be scheduled FOR (typically 39 weeks) ... [snip!] ... And knowing already that you need a c-section, they wouldnt schedule it last minute. i'm sure you'll get plenty of heads up"
I am seeing a mid wife right now and then at 36 weeks I get transferred to me to my ob. idk it's weird. but that's how they do it. my midwife just told me it should be with in 2 weeks of my due date. I have no idea what the ob will say. But I'm asking tomorrow at my appt. they are super big on monitoring my GD with weekly blood test number drop off's, level 2 ultrasounds and fetal echo cardiograms. So idk why I can't get an answer on the c-section.

I pushed for two hours with my daughter and she got stuck as well. Had I known VBACs existed back then, I would have had one. Find a doctor and/or hospital that allows VBACs in your area and start there. After two c-sections, I'm not a candidate for one this pregnancy   Good luck hun.

Thanks   and im sorry to hear that   im just worried about having a VBAC because i definately dont want to go through that pain of him being stuck for so long again   it sucked (epidural wore off by that time) that shooting pain down my leg (especially after having ciatica my whole pregnancy) was the worst.... I know VB are safer and the best for mom and baby but is it bad that after my experience i would rather have another CS???

My epi wore off 10 hours after I had it put in, and I was in labor another 7 1/2 hours after that   I labored 27 1/2 hours and pushed for two of those before I had my c/s. Honestly, no it's not stupid for you to want another c/s after that. I think that's partially why I didn't ask questions with my second because they were so close and I was still recovering mentally from my first labor/delivery experience. I'm completely okay with having this c/s, I know what to expect and it's only one day before my due date so baby is as big as she's going to get (which will be 8+lbs because she's big already lol) My first two were 9lbs 9oz and 8lbs 15oz...my first I had complications with because of her size and I have a super tiny birth canal. You do what you think is best/safer for the two of you, don't let anyone tell you it's wrong no matter what you choose.

Wow thanks u really made me feel alot better   i was only in labor for 14 hours ad 5 of which i pushed. And to begin with the epidural only numbed one side of my body and of course not the side i had ciatica... It was just a horrible experience. My fiance doesnt even understand why i want another so soon but i would do it all over again because i got my beautiful son out of it... And i really just want another baby   i have a lot of love to give ...

lol no I completely understand wanting another. Our older girls are only 13 months and 3 days apart; they'll be 4 and 5 in November/December. I'm due in a couple days and I'm already wanting another so they'll have that bond like our girls do. They're so close, best of friends, do everything together. I love it lol My husband, yeah he doesn't want anymore kids lol I think three daughters is scaring him a bit hahah My epi numbed me but like I said, it wore off a few hours later. I'm glad they do the spinal with c/s because there's no way I'd want another epi. My first was a horrible experience also but I'll spare OP that part. How old is your son?

He will be 1 yr old on monday   i think its the fact that hes becoming more independent that it makes me want another.... And besides that, all of my firends r pregnant or having babies throughout this month so it is giving me wicked baby fever   i never really understood baby fever until now lol my fiance wants to wait til next year but he said we can have one now... Just because i keep pushing the subject lol ... I guess i have a way with words...

yes. unless your dr supports a vbac. if you have had one c-ssection then they like you to have c-sections for the next births. something about the strength of the muscle

Im 27 weeks and they just scheduled my c-section at my appointment yesterday for the friday Im due :-( Im a little disappointed because she's been telling me she would schedule me for like 38weeks. But Im sure baby will make his own decision of when to come. Both of my other boys were scheduled, one came the day b4 I was supposed to be induced, and the other came at 37weeks.

lol I'm hoping they at least schedule it a week early. I'm due ON Christmas. I dont' want to be in the hospital on Christmas! i went into labor with my daughter at 37 weeks one day. I'm all for letting baby cook as long as baby needs to, but I'm being cut open either way, so 3-4 days early shouldn't hurt anyone.

I've learned that doctors wanna do things at their convenience. So, they will probably try to do urs a week early so they're not at the hospital on christmas. my doctor wants to do it that day because its a friday, but with my last one I wanted a friday so my boyfriend wouldnt have to miss too much work, but the doctor put me in for a tuesday after I told her that. but he ended up coming on a saturday night when I woke with an abruption at 2am
