re: Maybe Pregnant?

posted 16th May
Wow, after reading all these posts I feel truely lucky. For nine months before I got pregnant with my daughter I was on the pill. I screwed it up in September of 06, and ended up having two periods in a two week time frame. My husband and I decided after that that we would try for a baby. I got pregnant the first time we tried. In the month of October we had sex twice and got pregnant with our daughter. (Kind of trying, kind of not, and school and work had just gotten harder).

I've never had the problem with my periods skiping. They have only skiped three times when they were regular, March 06 (I miscarried) and October 06 (pregnant with daughter) and now.

Blood test are VERY accurate!!!
For a blood test you only need 5HCG...anything over 5 is pregnant....your body makes 5 HCG just a few days after implanation!!!!!
Pee test however need atleast 25-50 which can take SEVERAL days past implantation....

I read somewhere that they are more accurate, but no more sensitive than blood tests. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I was 57 days past my LMP, it was the second time I took a test, the first time was after I missed my first period.

I am now 51 days past my LMP. Still nothing. I feel ill at times and have gotten upset easily. I'm going back to the doctor next week.

blood test are more "sensitive "then pee sticks...
with pee sticks they can only read 25-50 HCG...A blood test is 5HCG......so sensitve is a funny word.....I should say...it can show a BFP sooner than a pee stick....

51DPO...WOW
Have you taken another pee test?
WOW...51DPO...you have to be preggers....awwww

I haven't taken another one yet. I'm too scared of it saying no, lol. My husband is pretty convinced that I am pregnant though. I'm buying more tests tomorrow, so fingers are crossed. I'm calling the doctor as well tomorrow.

I have another dr appointment soon. Still no period but I still can't get a pregnancy test to say that I'm pregnant. But I'd rather like to get pregnant, and it's a lot easier to get pregnant when you know when your ovulating! lol.

Did you see that show....I didnt know I was pregnant on Discovery health....there was this one girl who kept testing negative on blood and urine test.....9 months later a baby came.....hmmmm
What do you have to do to have an u/s?? If you asked for one...would they give it to you?
Do you have PCOS or anything like that....that would cause your period not to be regular?

My periods have always been at least semi-regular. If I missed one month I usually have one the next month, but that was when I first started having periods when I was 12. Since I was on birth control, and since I've had my daughter they've been like clockwork. 28 days when on the pill, 23 when not.

Most places around here wont give me one without a positive pregnancy test. My doctor gave me something to help induce a period, but it just made me so sick I haven't taken it again. I'm going to try to wait it out.

I've contacted a pregnancy clinic in a neighboring city. They should get back to me soon, hopefully they will give me an ultrasound. The doctor gave me something to induce periods, I took it for one day and it made me SO SICK. So I was reading the pamplet that it comes with to see if it said anything about feeling ill and it said it could cause birth defects if you are pregnant!!! So I stopped taking it, I don't care if it does induce a period, if I am pregnant it's not worth it to me to take it just so I MIGHT get pregnant. Weird awkward sentance, but you might get my drift.

When I'm pregnant I don't take ANY pills, except vitamins. I have horrible allergies, but I won't take ANYTHING for them.
