Just to clarify, Israel does punish homosexuals and they arent an oil exporter.
But yes, i object to a great deal of what our tax dollars are used for. Additionally, i buy products from China and that country has a terrible record or human rights issues.... but it's nearly impossible to not support that suppressive governemnt.

Everybody has opinions... however he goes beyond having one.
He donates money to support his opinion.
And I help him do so if I support his business.
If he believed that gay marriage is unnatural/wrong, etc but still respected the fact that people should have the right to live their life as they see fit (in this case marry whomever they want), then I would still go there to eat. .

This reminds me...
I buy apple products which-for what I read- are manufactured in places where they pay smurf to people and the people work and live in almost inhumane conditions.
A little hypocrisy for me right there... Obviously, I don't support that but I think most electronic devices are manufactured this way.

I am a gay rights activist and have been for a while, I was a little disturbed when I heard about this, but the more I thought about it the more I came to this conclusion! both groups are discriminating as much as the other. The mayor of Boston shouldnt tell a business if they can build there or not based on their beliefs but the same goes for the business owners, i mean yeah, freedom of speech! but if you own a business as successful as this one, there are just a few things you should keep to yourself! either way, they are both in the wrong, everyone stop hating on everyone, and just go on with your lives!

I agree with the first part.
It's not ok to not let a franchise open in your city. One way or another, it's jobs for people and income to the city so I think it's a bit silly saying no.
It's okay that he has his views and what not but he shouldn't expect peple to support his business knowing that part of their money will pay to opress a population these people support.

I will not spend my money there. Now that I know where he donates his money, I will not join him in donating to the cause. It would be the same for any business if I found out they were donating to a cause I don't agree with.

Admittedly, I don't often dig deep to find out who does what with their profits, but since Chick Fil A decided to openly broadcast their irresponsible anti-family hatefulness, I choose not to give them any of my money.

lol. Well, in sweden they'd take even more of my money and still support things i dont agree with. I'll stay here and try to wake more people up to what our government does. :-)
