This is my first pregnancy. (12 weeks today!) I'm very excited, but sometimes I just don't "feel" pregnant. I am a plus size girl, so I am not showing any type of bump (yes, I'm so jealous of the cute little bumps I see!) but I had really bad morning sickness during weeks 7-10. Now that that has passed for the most part, I just feel... well, nothing! I don't have another appointment until the 13th, when I will have my first ultrasound. This is probably really normal, but I just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same way.

I know how you feel, I am also plus sized and when I was pregnant with my son I was so excited, but didnt see my bumb or feel anything. I think it really set in when I had my first ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. Then I was so happy and felt attached right away. Also when you get further along the movements will come and it will be even more real for you. Good luck and feel bad.

I think it's normal. I didnt get that maternal feeling until I first saw his face.

Im also big, I didnt show til 32 weeks. I had a very bad pregnancy, so I think that had something to do with me feeling resentful towards him. As soon as I seen that precious face, all that went out the window.

It didn't hit me till I found out it was a boy... and I saw his face. It made it so real seeing him grab his toes in the ultrasound. It was amazing.

It will feel real soon enough.

When you start to feel your baby kick is when it will feel very real to you. I starting showing at 12 weeks, but it wasn't enough to make people notice or for new clothes yet. The further along you get the more connected you will become. But congrats to you!

I am almost 35 weeks along now and I am a plus size girl as well. At first i didnt feel anything but sick at first and like you said nothing. As I got farther along and the more doctor visits I have it becomes more and more real to me. I do have a baby bump but not one like other mothers that are smaller than me. You will get there Good luck!

I am also plus size and 30 weeks. I didn't feel pregnant at all until I felt movement.. I'm not even showing!! It drives me crazy b\c I want the cute belly too but I think I will in the next couple of weeks b\c my belly keeps getting harder.. Even though I felt movement and heard the heart beat it honestly didn't sink in for me until about 25 weeks I had my first 4d u\s and you could see him and he was yawning and blinked a couple of times... As far as unattached i wasn't at first but I was sooo excited and wanted to start a nursery right away since we were doing neutral but everybody kind of crushed the excitement for me b\c they kept saying wait something could still happen.. It's was like what the hell are you trying to do jinx me and make me worry but my husband seen it crushed me and we decided to start our nursery at 14 weeks pregnant.. Kind of regret in now b\c my nursery is done and now I stay bored with 10 weeks remaining lol
