Rash & swollen lymph nodes.

SO's arm pits are STILL bothering him. I can't lay in his arms, because if my head hits his pit... he's in pain   The rash spread down to his biceps. He's been taking 800mg Ibuprofen for pain. He stopped using the deodorant that we thought was causing it, but it's just gotten worse.

It's Sunday... doctors aren't open and he isn't going to the ER. I tried Googling but all I'm finding is cancer, so I stopped. Has anyone's SO experienced this? He DOES work in a warehouse that gets pretty hot... so I thought it was a heat rash or chaffing, but it's much worse.

What does the rash look like?

Its just red. About the size of my hand. He has no ingrown hairs, bites, scratches, cuts, etc underneath his arm. Just the red, pain, and the swollen lymph nodes. I don't know what it is

Maybe its chemical burn from the deodorant? Or some irritant got onto his skin from work

i think he's got an infection hence the swollen lymph nodes

He looked up some stuff about the deodorant.. he usually uses gel, but switched to gel stick. And it said the stick can clog up the pores, causing an infection or some smurf. It's just spreading SO much... a lot more than where he applied deodorant. And nah, he doesn't deal with chemicals at work.

Well, yes. But infection from what? We don't know what's causing it... we know what happened, but don't know the cause.

I would clean the affected area 2-3 times a day and apply a hot or cold compress, depending which one feels better, until he can be seen.

probs got an infection on its way, or the things under his arms are the infrection, i'd take him to ER even if he didn't want to

Yeeeeah, even I wouldn't allow him to go to the ER for a possible infection. It can wait until tomorrow, when the bill won't be so high

lol well i hope everything gets sorted with him   i know i'd get my DP to drs or ER asap
