I wouldn't let it bother you too much, I know your hormones and body are changing but look on the positive side of it. For one it's your first time so it's going to be exciting and interesting how you and your body change, I wouldn't let anyone stand in the way of it. As long as you know you are going to take care of the child and love it endlessly there should be no reason to worry!   I have family members who are on their third child and are constantly away from their kids to self-entertain,but I know I am taking care of my kids and doing everything I can for them, so it doesn't bother me, I mean yea I feel for the kids but they're not mine and it's the person's life so they have to deal with it. I'd sit back and enjoy your pregnancy because it's a life experience and one you don't want to neglect your attention from just because others are who they are. Enjoy your pregnancy mama!

you can edit and try to spin yourself in a more favorable light, but you have been quoted. You sound very childish. The spotlight isn't shining directly on you and you are pissedd. You knew she was pregnant, if you couldn't handle sharing the attention, you should have waited to get knocked up.

plus either way your going to get people like that no matter if its family, friends or just some random person. Just grow up and get over it. life goes on.

I'm in a similar situation with my cousin. She's 3 weeks behind me though. I'm super excited about my pregnancy as it's my first and I wasn't even supposed to be able to get pregnant and be able to carry the child full term. This is her second pregnancy. My problem is she likes to put me down because I won't marry the baby's father until he and I are both done with school. However, she got married at 17 just because she got pregnant. All I can say is try to be patient. It stinks when others try to steal your thunder about your first child but in the end this pregnancy is about you and the life you are bringing into this world.   My mom always tells me that my pregnancy seems more important because it is mine. Others don't necessarily feel like that.

i never siad she couldnt talk about her pregnancy i just think its bullsmurf tht eveytime i say something she has to 1 up it... and yes mine was and accendent but i have been with my bf for 2 years and she was only with him for month i think it was stupid of her she has 3 diff baby daddys and 3 babys . i think she should have taken things slower.

Well I could say the same about my SIL.
She's 34 weeks. I'm 22 weeks. This is her first and this is my second. My in-laws rant & rave about hers and not about mine.
Yeah it pisses me off at times I guess but oh well, I dislike them anyway.

I don't think you have a right to say that because it's her 3rd it's less important than yours. Yeah, we understand it's your first baby, that's a big deal. But so is anyone's 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc..... a pregnancy is a pregnancy. We're all blessed so why even make it like a competition???
