She acknowledged the spelling may be wrong, though it was correct. That's not ignorance. Naming your child something that looks like word puke is ignorant as it will have an affect on that poor childs life until she can change it when she's 18.

Read the studies. Hiring managers, when handed 2 applications with the same qualifications will pick the one with the literate name most of the time. Spelling a name all ridiculous just makes your child have to work harder.

I would not spell it that way. My cousins name is Lyli, pronounced Lily, and no one calls her that. She just tells people to call her lie-lee.

Well it's nice spelled right. If you need to use ly then you need to use a different name. It looks silly and no one will pronounce it right. Looks like lie-lee
