what does chicken pox start like?

logan is getting a bunch of red dots like mosquito bites on his face and arms. i thought they were pimples when there were only two, then i saw another on his chin and it looked like he was scratching it and it looked like a mosquito bits. well i found a few more today. they dont look irritated or anything, like hes not bothering with them.

do chickenpox usually come over a spread out period of time? its been about three days and there are about 7-10 bumps that i see. or do these sound like mosquito bites? he hasnt really shown any signs of fever or anything, not that ive tested...

we were also in the pool yesterday, is that an issue?

The spots usually have a collection of clear fluid under the surface and it's varies from person to person as to how many they will get, as for the pool i'm not too sure whether that would be an issue sorry not much help

Usually they have all the spots by 24ish hours after you see the first one. But what your describing doesn't sound like it to me. Can you take a pic? Does he go to daycare or anything that he could have gotten them?
It could have been something in the pool that bothered his skin.

Also chickpox usually start on the belly area (usually).

My pedi told me that they start out as one, then 3, then 9 and so on. Usually on the trunk area first. Maybe its from the pool? My son doesnt do well in chlorine
