At what age should they begin wearing them during sports?

I honestly have no clue but when it comes to that time that Cylus is in sports I'm gonna ask the pedi.

I really wasn't sure. I asked my husband and he said he thought it would be a good idea. I reminded him that it's just pee wee soccer, it shouldn't be anything competitive and crazy.
I just got an e-mail saying that it's optional for this age group (my oldest is 4.)

My SO's son needed one for football and soccer last year, at 10. Prior to that he played sports and it wasn't required. Last year they required it.

My son only wears one during football season. When he was 5 another boy step on in his “no, no area” after a play and he asked us was there something we could put there like the rest of his body, lol. He's wore every game since then. He's 9 and half now.
