Ouch...

Okay so i went to the docs today and i am just about 4 cm dialated and 100% thinned out now...We decided to have him strip my membranes....And omg did that ever not feel so good lol  So hopefully maybe this weekend i can meet my lil man....But if not i go back on monday and we might schedule an induction date...

I don't understand why you would have your membranes stripped if you are 100% thinned out... isn't membrane stripping to get things thinned out? I'm confused.

i honestly couldnt tell ya? I dont know much about this whole membrane thingy...But thats appearently what was done... 

I thought they didn't do that stuff until you were at your due date?

Uh well my due date is the 25th...which is a sunday...then monday is memorial day and tuesday i guess hes not in..so therefor i probably would be in til way after...So thats why he was thinking of possibly indusing me b4 my due date

some docs will strip them up to 2 weeks before your due date--just depends on the doctor-- this is the only form of "unnatural" procedures i am going to be doin... if i can!

Well I can understand that, I just figured he'd do it like next week or after you've gone past your due date!

Yeh who knows...Im not complaing lol...Im anxious and ready...Just more nervous about labor....Just haveing him strip my membranes hurt like hell...I could only imagine how much complaing im goin to do when im actually in labor 

my doctor always gives the option of inducing you starting at 38 or so weeks. actually with my daughter he started giving me the option at 36 weeks but i turned him down until 37 weeks which i know doesn't sound like a lot of time but there was a big snow storm coming and i wanted to make sure if i went into labor i would be able to get to the hospital. 
he already told me he will talk to me about inducing me next week but i really don't want to do it again. but my husband does b/c he works nights and wants to be able to take time off of work. so who knows what we will choose.

It just makes no sense to me that they would induce early without a medical cause!
