I think moby's are one of the best options out there for bad backs. Since it's stretchy, it doesn't dig into you at all. The weight is also very well distributed. I have a ring sling as well, and I like the moby so much better!

If you know someone who can sew, it's super easy to make one and it will cost about $15 in fabric instead of $100+

you can make your own moby for cheaper!
I borrowed a moby from a friend and liked it better than my ergo, it hurt my back less.

wow, that's way better
! I was at Babies'R'Us the other day and was going to buy one for my SIL. Maybe it was a special line/model or something, but had an unbelievably huge price tag!

I have scoliosis and the Moby worked better then any others I tried, but after a while it would still hurt.

you don't even have to sew! you buy like 5 yards of a knit (stretchy kind) and cut it in half lengthwise, it makes 2 wraps. I will find the video.....

Stretchy wraps suck when they get heavy. My 14month old is 20 pounds and I HATE having her in my stretchy. Sags and gets loose way to quickly (was great when she was little though).

Woven wraps are amazing for when they're a little bigger. I really like Girasol and I just got my first Didymos Indio today.   Only had LO in it for like 15 minutes but I'm love. So floppy and wonderful.
