At my wits end!

FML. Seriously. Smelled something burning thought it was an oil burner I used today (smells similar apparently) Nope no such luck. Kids were being super quiet in their room *3 and 1.5yr olds* they were supposed to be sleeping but saw a light under their door. Opened it to find them both sitting on the floor with an old lamp (that was in their closet put up, door locked with a deadbolt (key to deadbolt stolen from kitchen earlier it seems)) PLUGGED IN (to an outlet inside the closet that I didn't even know was there!) BURNING the LAMPSHADE they had stuffed ontop of it, bent, and crooked. All this while the lamp was not even an inch away from the youngest's blanket hanging over the side of the bed!!! Thank god something told me to check on them before heading to bed myself. No smoke just that burning smell... wtf. seriously. This is THE WORST they have ever done. Usually it's baby powder all over their room, stuffing ripped out of stuffed animals and thrown about, 2 FULL dressers of clothes all over (reason why closet now has deadbolt), and just this morning they ripped the oldest's mattress APART. so they're sharing a bed now. Any advice? They just get into EVERYTHING. We even have alarms on the doors to tell us if they're trying to sneak outta their rooms or the house itself! Deadbolts on front and back door with keys. do they outgrow this crap or am I looking at YEARS of this? Hubby is at work so I'm ready to have a breakdown or something!

Sell them on craigslist.

my 10 year old used to do stuff like this ...even though he is ten now he still does things like peeing in night lights ...sneaking down to play the xbox at 3am ..all you really can do is time outs or if worse comes to worse spanking ...they grow out of it for the most part though

How long were they alone? That definitely would take more then a few minutes to do.

a 4 yr old I was babysitting "helped" them poke holes through it *the plastic crib ones ya know* with a pencil and my wonderful heathens just found the darn holes we patched and proceeded to tear everything out of the mattress.

2 for 1.... free sounds better right now :****( and the youngest came over to kiss my cheek like she does when she's in trouble... and there's a HUGE burn mark on her shoulder... wtf! worst sm*rfing mom ever I swear.
