She called me a whore!

Last night, my MIL called ME a whore!
Her 13 year old has had MULTIPLE sex partners , and she's going to have the nerve to call me a whore.

Here's what happened.

Her and her daughter sat there and started talking about how they were going to get Kiley a cell phone. She's 3 months old! She can't even talk! Why would she need a cell phone? So, I reply with "Kiley's not having a cell phone until she starts high school." She said, "she'll get a cell phone when I give her a cell phone." Well, at this point I became a little rude and Ireplied, "Well you can buy her as many cell phones as you want, but they'll all be sitting in my closet until she starts high school!" My reasoning for this is that in middle school I saw soooo many young girls having sex with all these guys and I just think that it's because parents are so lax with discipline. And giving your child a cell phone early on just opens the doorway for calling boys, and sending dirty pics, etc..IMO.

So I explained this to them and said "my daughter's not going to be known as the middle school whore!" And my MIL snaps at me and screams "The only way she's going to be a whore is if YOU teach her to be one!"

Bitch! Who the hell does she think she is? I seriously dislike this woman...

I hate MILs!!

I would have said to her...Sorry, but I guess your daughter learned it from you then....or something to that effect.

Shes an idiot.

That's not really calling you a whore..it's saying that the only way that girls could learn how to be a whore is if they are taught by it (movies, music videos, other people etc). Like my mom said if I ever have a daughter that I shouldn't teach her how to be a whore..my mom wasn't calling me a whore, she's telling me to bring up my daughter (if I ever have one) to respect herself.

Edited to add: A three month old definately doesn't need a cell phone.

Your MIL is definetly overstepping her boundaries. You get to make the rules about your daughter. She has no right.

Wow...she called you a whore because you don't want your daughter to have a cell phone. The womans got issues!!! What the hell is a baby gonna do with a cell phone?

Err...my MIL is the same freakin way. I picked my daughter up one night when I came home from work...mind you she was not asleep, "No wonder she doesnt sleep at night over here, when I had her she slept through the whole night...blah blah blah blah blah..."

She is lucky I havent said a word to her.

I agree with that but she was probably sensing the tension and it might have gotten to her. Seeing as your her mother (of your daughter I mean), I can see why she would have said it that way, but she could have worded it differently. I don't think she meant to call you a whore.
