Ok fine, then you know everything. Most developed nations besides the US have banned the procedure becuase its cruel, but I am obviously not going to get your to change your mind and hate talking to a brick wall. I hope at some point you will look at the links I sent you and educate yourself, for your future cats sakes.

you know most animal shelters and adoption agencies wont let you even adopt a cat unless you sign a paper stating that you agree NOT to declaw them... I found that out recently and thought it was noble... lol, we just always used a squirt bottle with my kitties... unfortunately because they also got baths regularly they got pretty used to the water so it kinda lost its affect... lol, but furniture is replaceable...

Yeah, I actually spend many many hours a week working with rescue groups, so this is an issue that is close to my heart. Kills me when people dont want to see that something might be wrong. Oh well. I guess I just cant let it get to me. At least I know that no rescue group I have ever come in contact with will let them have a cat.

The place we got Lady at was so wonderful... we had to go through a really extensive application process to get herbut it was all worth it even thoughwe only got to keep her for a few months before the apartment complex we live at up and decided my perfectly potty-trained 8 lb dog was going to completely destroy the carpet so we had to take her back to the adoption agency... they actually made us sign a form saying in the event we couldnt keep her we were to return her back to them and that we were sure we weren't going to be moving out of the area for at least 6 months...

they were very thorough on everything and it help ease our minds when we had to take her back knowing she would go to a loving family... we followed up and found out she had gone to an older women with another small dog and a big backyard and everything so as much as it hurt to take her back it was good to know she was happy.

omg, my hubby and i cried so bad... i wasn't even there when it happened so i didnt get to say goodbye (i was taking care of my mother after her surgery in Oklahoma) but my hubby said it was the hardest thing he's ever had to do... he just dressed her in her pink sweater (it was december so if she didnt have something on the poor litle girl would shake all over!!) put her pink collar on her, and put her in her pink bed and closed the door and walked away crying all over the place (she was in a kennel because it was adoption day, she actually got adopted THAT DAY!) that pink bed she loved... she got sick one night all over it so we tried to buy her a new one, a different one, and she wouldnt go near it... lol, so we had to buy her a new pink one just like the one she had before... spoiled rotten little thing...
