sometimes it gets hard. just venting..

I have felt like a single mom since my son was born, and hes almost 14 months now. I am no where near ready to date. I just got out of a very unhealthy relationship. And i really did love him so it was really hard to let him go, but i just dont want my son around him, or us fighting. Im starting college classes at the end of this month and am kinda feeling overwhelmed because i still have to work since my BD is a brokeass. I just want to give my son a better life, and i know school is what i need to do. If i didnt have my mom to babysit i dont know what i would do!!! I just filed for child support but im sure ill never see a penny becuase i doubt his dad will ever find a job. I love my son to death and i do whatever i can to make sure hes happy and taken care of. It sure is exhausting and I know its only going to get harder when i start school. But i gotta do what i gotta do! wish i had more friends with kids or atleast understand what im going through.!  

Does your baby's dad get unemployment? If so, they will most likely garnish a portion and you will receive child support that way.

You sound like you are on the right track, just keep it up and remember why you are doing it. It's soo worth it!

no he doesnt get unemployment or anything. i dont even talk to him anymore since his phone has been shut off. im assuming hes living with his dad but his dad moved so hes not even close to us anymore. when we were together before we had my son whenever we would do anything it would be with MY money and my car, so i guess i shoulda been smarter lol hes just a loser. sucks..
