Quoting Momma Riss:" Okay I have a question for, really any one. Please only serious and polite answers, I genuinely would ... [snip!] ... opinion, a Christian hold to their beliefs but better communicate love to others and not leave that bitter taste for others? "
i live by example and when it is APPROPRIATE i spread the word directly. pushing it onto someone is NOT going to make them "see the light"... living in gods grace however will SHOW them and present the opportunity to share. be patient with god as he is with you. he will present you with all the opportunity you can imagine to show his love and spread his word..WITHOUT leaving a "bitter taste" in their mouths

By not shoving it so far down my throat and into my child's face that it becomes painful to even be in the room with you. (General 'you' there, no one in particular)
But seriously, share your faith, but respect when I ask you to stop, and for the love of god, don't spend all day trying to convert me!!!!

Simple: keep your religious opinions to your self unless asked about it.

Well, honestly, I don't care what my fellow friend, foe, neighbor, or family member chooses to believe, but the moment it interferes with another person's life in a negative manner is when I have a problem.
The only time I speak on Atheism is when another inquiries about it, but I don't enforce it. They have free will, and what may be right to me, might not be right to others.

I don't understand this whole anti-gay rights movement, well there's a lot of things I don't understand about christianity, but it makes sense to me for everyone to just not judge others for their lifestyles & leave god to judge them in the afterlife. Right? as long as they aren't hurting anybody, that is.

I completely agree with this and wish other Christians would not do that. I just hear a lot of Christians are so hypocritical and narrow minded...I just wish that we could-as a whole- change that pov and been seen as loving, helpful, and caring people. My husband even suggested (he might of heard this some where else) that it might have sent a more loving message if Chick-fil-a would have teamed up with a Homosexual group and went to feed hungry people at a shelter ect.

I was raised catholic and live my life as a realist. I am very respectful towards the religion considering the fact my mother and my best friend truely does believe. Truth is its annoying when it's shoved down my throat and that's what tics me off. Religious freedom is a right but so is the freedom to not believe. I also have a massive issue with people who only follow parts of the bible they see fit. If you are going to believe in something believe in it all not just the parts that cause controversy or uproar. Religion itself is not an issue to me and as said by other women does not bother me when it's not being shoved down my throat!

I've had Christians tell me I should hurry up and get my son baptised "in case anything happens". Wth is that? I think religious opinions should only be shared if you're asked for them. Any unsolicited advice is just unwanted, IMO.
I understand your getting worried for the sinners but if they don't share the same religion as you, they don't believe they're going to hell, so -theoretically- you don't need to save them or anything like that.

I think its crazy that people choose to follow what they want from the Bible. If you honestly follow it you'll see it says women should submit to their husbands, women have no say so, single pregnant women should be stoned to death, can't wear clothes made with more than one fiber, can't eat 'bottom feeders', cannot buy or sale after sundown on fridays and no working Saturday. Especially not celebrating Christmas, Easter, and Halloween.
Religion is very hipritical or however you spell that. Every religion says every other religion is bad.
Religious people are the most judgemental.

A lot of Christians ARE hypocritical, and pick-and-choose what parts of the Bible they follow. I still see Christians after church eating shrimp, or having sex with their wives directly after a period. I had a GOOD picture about this, let me go find it.
This pretty much sums up my point. Christians can be some hypocritical people.

I can completely understand that. And I only share my beliefs when asked or with friends and family in an appropriate setting or conversation.
and I try to think of it in the reverse way as well...how would I like for some one of another religion to convert me? But I don't get angry with them, because they truly believe that and are wanting to help me.
