Believing in evolution doesn't take faith...it has scientific evidence that can back it up.

Keyword: Pushy.

If you're not pushy, it doesn't involve you.

How do we know this to be fact? Because of a book that was written and re-written over and over?

Even the freaking Pope backs evolution.

The Dead Sea Scrolls have been proven 95% identical to modern Biblical text. The 5% discrepancy is attributed to translation from one language to the next but does not contain anything that would nullify the other 95%.

Oh for sure!! I am not offended at all. And it was actually very to read because I've never heard of it before!

If that was really the case it would be a fact not a theory then. Evolution still has holes and is still a theory.

So is gravity and magnetic theory and ... yet I don't see people randomly floating off into space.

And sorry, the people who witnessed the resurrection were likely cray-cray.

I believe in things that can be measured and that have scientific evidence.

Yeah, some history I think is correct, like people who used to live. I believe Jesus was a real person and probably a nice one...but I don't believe he came back to life.

Please. For pete's sake. Educate yourself on what the word "theory" means in terms of science.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_theory

To become a "theory," something must be put through extensive testing and the hypothesis must be well supported.

In science, you can never definitively prove ANYTHING. The ONLY two options when testing a hypothesis are "reject" and "fail to reject." Something may only become a theory when it has failed to reject enough times, in enough ways, by enough people, in response to enough variables and challenges, that the scientific community has a general consensus that it will not be rejected. But because there is a minute chance, however small or mathematically inconcievable it is, that there will at some point be a piece of evidence as yet undsicovered by science that will turn the status from "fail to reject" to "reject", they cannot technically say that it is "TRUE," because there IS no "TRUE" in science.

When you say, "evolution is just a theory," you are actually backing us up, so thank you! If it's a become theory, then the vast consensus of the scientific community has reviewed a great deal rigorous testing and mountains of evidence that leads them to believe that it is indeed true!

Lol. Apparently you have no idea what a theory is.

lol....So you are saying that you know for a 100% fact that evolution really did happen? If so then okay I guess I was wrong and it takes no faith to believe we evolved from a group of cells.
