I will be 18 when I get married I'm glad I'm not the only young one. Makes me feel better and more hopeful.  

He's definitely controlling you and the situation. He knows you really want to get married and since his mother and him are paying for the wedding he thinks he can control you. I'd be straight with him and tell him now or never because once the baby comes along we will NEVER have money to go to Africa. So it's o.k for your family to not be there but not o.k. for his father to not be there, not a good thing. How long have you been with him?

but we spoke and i caved in... the weddings next year lol like he said
then maybe we will have a smaller one that my family can attend when we come back from africa
