formula

So Im just curious, but my daughter only eats about 1oz at a time (every half hour) I stopped trying to feed her on a scedual because she clearly eats on demand. Anyhow, Iv been wasteing alot of formula as I make 6oz bottles(alot of time she will eat that much as her regular feeding!) and Im wondering, do you throw them out always? I see friends of mine put theirs back in the fridge..If your child eats only a sip to a oz, is okay to save till next feeding? i know it says not to, but i KNOW there are people that do this, and I just want to know your opinions! any advice is apprititated, thank you!

Fridge or not, after it's been used it is only good for two hours at the very, very most.

Once the lips have touched the nipple it's good for one hour.

What does your formula tin say?
I know ours says 12 hours. And only reheat once. Yours might be different.

Mine says throw away after used once. I understand because beacteria from baby`s lips have touched it. Somtimes she only needs a sip and shes sleeping though? So im just wondering about saving it for one more use, considering its fresh. I guess every can will have diffrent instructions, which is why im asking, i almost dont think its nessisary to throw out after a sip. Babys health is obviously more important, but does it need to go to waste when only a sip was taken?Will it hurt her if i were to put it in the fridge for next time when its basically new...

That's what I would do. I also prep a pitcher and leave it in the fridge. Much easier to just grab it and add more to the bottle if she is still hungry. I believe the formula has to be used within 24 hours though, so I only make enough to make 6-8 bottles. My DD is similar, some feedings she just wants a couple ounces, and sometimes she will down 6-8 ounces.

Mine says only good for an hr and i dont put back in the fridge but one time my dd found a bottle that was 2 days old (found it in the car) and I never leave bottles in the car exp since its sooo hot outside it must of slipped out of the diaper bag. and fed it to my son and he drank the whole thing! I was soo scared i took him to the er but he was absolutely fine not even a belly ache. - but i dont recommend that!

Honestly I would probably refrigerate it. But that's me, I'm not telling you to do it
