Cloth diapering

Me and SO have decided to use clothe diapers with our future LO's. I have seen the NaturallyThriftyMom's youtube videos, I like the prefold, flat, and contour. i also like the 2 in 1. Cloth diapering seems to be better for economical reasons. Did you use cloth diapers? What did you like, and dislike about them the most? What kind did you use? Where did you buy? How many did you buy? What is the best way to wash them?
You don't have to answer all of these questions, these are just some that I am curious about.

Just lil past over a year from when I joined. I can't believe I'm been on BG for 3yrs this month

I'm an on and off user though. I mainly use BG for help. So even though I've been around, I still get called out for being an idiot about things.
