Nipple Stimulation??

Ok in a previous post there was talk about nipple stimulation to bring n the labor?? Do u just play with your nipples basically and it makes you go into labor?? I know i post a lot of dumb questions but i am just so curious on a lot of things..I know i should probably know a lot of the answers to the questions i ask since i have 2 other kids but every kid/baby is different and i have been reading a lot of things on here to make me wonder even more..ANY advise i would love to hear if it's positive thanks

it didn't do smurf for me. but be careful bc it COULD bring on strong contractions.

It could, if you're close enough to go into labor anyways. Usually that is. It has to do with the hormones and endorphins that get released when your nipples are stimulated.

I've heard of it working, but you're not due for another month so I would hold off for a while

does it matter on how far along you are?

You don't ever want to self-induce early, especially not in your stage.

well i didn't plan to do it for a while if it worked but TMI:My SO does it on occasion and i just didn't want to go into labor so soon as to the fact I am so far along

im only 35 weeks so i try not to do anything to bring on labor but my boobs will get soooooo full that i manually express (ive been leaking since 17w but some days it wont leak on its own =[ ) and i notice once i pump (i dont keep it yet) i start having contractions but then they stop, and baby girl just starts going crazy in there.. so i would assume its not necessarily "playing" with them but something along the line of a massaging type action (if that makes any sense lol)

ok lol i don't leak at all so whenever i'm in the shower i let the warm water run on my back while releasing some of the milk so i know what you mean in that aspect just not lucky enough for it to do it on it's own yet lol

lol some days when im in the shower i can turn and let the water hit my chest and its like a fire hydrant just got broken open.. i think with all that i wouldnt have to worry about her milk supply when shes born.. my son ate so much that i couldnt keep up with his needs (he also had a hard time latching so i pumped and fed him) this time around i plan on trying to actually BF.. idc what i gotta do shes gonna take my boob lol..

you should never try any ways to self induce naturally until your EDD or later.

I'm not trying to i am just trying to gather information from what people know as well as my own research from google i don't want to go early cause many complications could happen i just wanted to be aware of what i shouldn't do..you understand what i mean?

ugh if only i was so lucky to not have to worry about producing enough lol with my son it was more then enough so much that he wouldn't eat fast enough and it hardened up to where he couldn't feed on my breast at all after 3 days in that time i didn't have a pump cause i wasn't sure about breastfeeding or not but i really want to cause i know how much healthier it is for both of us
