Dealing with smoke from wild fire

Is there nothing you can do to make dealing with the smoke better?

We just went though this and no. I stayed inside with fans blowing all over

Buy a few air purifiers for your house (especially bedrooms) and keep your windows closed.

This. We brought my son home from the hospital during awful wild fires. I just kept a air purifier in whatever room he was in. It helped a lot.

Good idea! I don't know why I didn't think of air purifiers. We're inside with Central Heat and Air and I just figured that it should be good. We have a very big fire right on the other side of the lake from us so we have soooo much smoke! My eyes are so itchy.

You'll notice a big difference if you get one. We almost had to get rid of DH's cat when we got married because I'm allergic. We bought several air purifiers and now I don't even need allergy meds! I just can't touch the cat or anything with cat hair on it, lol.

What part of CA are you in? I live in a fire zone, it's kind of scary.

I live in Shasta Lake we have a fire burning that's over 500 acres and it started yesterday. Thankfully the lake is between my house and the fire so we should be safe.

Scary. We got evacuated a few years ago. You could see the fire coming over the hill. But luckily they were able to stop it.
