im kinda late but i dont think your wrong either, im doing that to my BD too (which has led him to just NEVER see her..but thats HIS choice ) im not gonna let my daughter feel uncomfortable for anyone plus he wont know the different cries and know at what time she eats naps gets baths or sleeps ..its fully comprehensible

No that is very understandable....to your child he is a stranger and kids need a routine. He also needs to be around him to learn his childs behaviour and how to deal with issues that might come. Stand firm bc you are your childs voice and his friends have no idea bc they are not ur child parent
