3cms dilated 50% eff'd, membranes stripped, How much longer?

Any ideas on how much longer?
Well I went to gyn/ob today and I'm already 3 cms dilated and 50% effaced.... She stripped/swept my membranes and I thought it was sposed to hurt....but didnt really feel much...no worse than a pap smear.
Am spotting now, but she said that was to be expected, so we are pretty much on high alert from now on....
Have you had this done before? I have heard it can lead to the onset of labour but I dont know how long after it can take.

I have no idea,but let me know if it works out for you..I have been against so much as even being checked for dilation thus far in my pregnancy,but now being 5 days overdue,I'm starting to consider some mild interventions. Hopefully it works for you!

i went from 3cms, to 6cms in 2 hours, so you never know, and i didnt have my membranes stripped or anything

With Joel, I was 2.5 when I got to the hosp. had been having contractions for2hrs. I arrived at hosp and was put on the dripand dilated to10cms within20 MINS!!!that hurt, but I havent felt much more than pressure with this little man.

when i was 6cms they satrted me on pitcon because the epi slowed down my contractions, but man i wish my labour went that fast haha, maybe if i have another one, it will go super fast since i had 3 days of it with this one, but it was all worth it in the end

I had mine done yesterday. When my doctor checked me I was 2-3 cm dilated and 90% effaced. Still nothing yet.

Bugger! I was hoping it meant things were more on their way to happening....
This si your first tho, so there is no telling what will happen..You might be a mummy bytomorrow!

I had mine done at 3cm 50% and my water broke a week later

i went yesterday and had my membranes stripped i was 3 cm and 80%. nothing yet ive also been having contractions for 8 days and lost the mucus plug 3 days ago.
