Might be serious...and maybe TMI... but concerned

Just wanted to say, I ended up going into L&D and was having some contractions. They gave me some medicine to stop them... and some for pain. I'm on bed rest till I see my doctor... not a big deal I see him tomorrow. If the pain continues or I keep having contractions I have to go back in. The mucousy thing was probably some built up discharge... Sounds really gross, but the nurse says its normal. Also the leaky thing is just him pushing on my bladder, and it just coming out. I have a retrograde uterus... so it's a further down then usual and causing more pain and such. FUN!!!!

Good news, I'm not dialated at all... but he's definatly pushing down. He better stay in there for a at least another month though!!

So earlier I went to the bathroom (#2 to put it nicely) and when I looked in the toliet there was a white, mucousy looking thing in the toliet. It wasn't pinkish or anything, it was just white and kinda looked like when you have to clear out your throat. That was about 8 hours ago. Since then, I have had to go to the bathroom at least 3 times an hour, a little bit more than usaul, and when I pee, like after it comes out and I feel "relieved" it feels kinda like im still leaking like pee or something. Liquid comes out, but I can't tell if its pee or something else. I'm only 30 weeks and like 4 days... so I don't know if this is normal... or what.

I could really use some advice.

I have heard if it's your water leaking then it will smell...sweet? Kind of...not like pee. Sounds gross but have you smelled it to make sure it's pee still coming out?

I havn't smelled it, i mean... its after I pee, so it would still smell like pee.

I will try to smell it though...

so then i shouldn't be worried right?

ugh i forced to smell it the other day!!gross.....mine didnt smell like anything so we concerned and went to the doctor.... nothing...

Well if it's just pee then no but if your water is leaking then possibly yes. Are you leaking like way after you go like ten-ish minutes and you're still leaking? Or still sittin on the toilet leaking?

Its just when I'm sitting on the toliet... my chonies are dry.

Oh, well in that case then most likely no. If you're not leaking away from the toilet it's most likely just taking awhile for everything to drizzle out. I had that problem a few times. I would do a good Kegel-like squeeze and then release and it helped stuff come out much faster. It sounds like nothing to worry about honestly, but if you're still concerned call your doc's office when they open. I don't think it's anything to call now for though.

Your body does weird things during all this. Honestly to me it doesn't sound like anything wrong, but if you're still concerned later in the day I would callanyway. Nothing will make you feel better like hearing it from your doc or nurses  

Leukorehha (sp) is the white gooey stuff that you will discharge during your pregnancy. This is really gross BUTTTTT..... If you had to struggle to go #2 there could be a mucous type left over if you are constipated and having hard stools.

Another thing, stop doing kegels while you urinate. Kegels are meant to contract the muscles preventing liquid from leaving the bladder. Any medical professional will tell you that is bad to do while you are going to the restroom.

Let your Dr know your concerns even if they seem trivial to you.

That could have been your mucous plug?!? If you´re leaking I would check with your doctor to be sure that it´s not amniotic fluid!

And: don´t do the Kegel´s! That´s what the doctors and midwifes tell you anyway.

just waiting for the hubs to come home... hes on duty.

A urine infection?? Do you mean a urinary tract infection? That means that she would have a lot of pain when trying to urinate and she would most likley have blood in her urine.

mayb it was your plug or mayb just alot of discharge!! call your dr today!!
