I know I'm probably inviting a lot of nasty comments, but what the hell, I'm going to put my two cents in anyway....

First of all, I don't think it's right to be mean or rude to a mom on here just because she's a teen. I was a teen parent myself, and even though I'd never advise a young girl to try to get pregnant, I try to be helpful and supportive to the girls who ask for help.
I got married at 14, mostly to get out of a bad home situation and I got pregnant about 6 months later. I had my first child at 15, my 2nd at 17, and my 3rd at 19. It wasn't easy, and I honestly tell girls how hard it was, but I did it and did it well. I finished school, went to college, started a career...without much help from anyone.
I'm 35 now, and I know it's easier to have kids when you're older and have more support, an education, etc. I tell these girls that too. I just don't see the point in being mean for no reason. It won't change the fact that they're pregnant. Doesn't it make more sense to try to help them? Help them increase parenting skills?
Am I the only one who feels this way?

I do think its selfish for the ones who do it just for the hell of it, fuck yeah, but for the ones who make mistakes (as most teens have hormones as you do and can't "keep there legs closed" I think they made a damn good choice by keeping their childeren and taking care of the outcome. GOOD FOR YOU LADIES!!! i'm 18, thus considered an "Adult" AND YES I'M ROOTING FOR ALL THOSE TEEN MOMMIES WHO ARE TAKING CARE OF THEIR BABIES AND GETTING ENGAGED TO KEEP A GOOD FAMILY FOR THE BABY. I have to agree that "teens and tweens" getting knocked up just is not a good thing. In most instances there is no home stability; the "mother-to-be" will still live with her parents. Teen pregnancy should not be glorified and I agree that public shcools should not have to accomodate a prego; send thenm away like they did years ago and put the baby up for adoption in a stable home that won't need public welfare funds tro raise the child. This is usually best for the baby and for society as a whole. Teeners who want to get prego; think about it. It is selfish of you and immature and is CLEAR EVIDENCE you are NOT ready to parent a child. ENOUGH burden on the tax payers; we shouldn't have to finance your selfish "mommy wannbe" tantrums, and then have to pay for your GED and put you through college!!! The crapper is full you little sluts. Keep your damn legs closed until you can work and support a child.

So it's fine if a 17 year old has enough money with her and the baby daddy to support the baby etc etc etc etc ? Yes MOST are a burden, but you aren't even taking into consideration the majority of older women who are a "burden on tax payers" too. Sure, teen moms eff up especially when they are freaking stupid and plan it... but there are girls who do it on their own with baby daddy or etc. so you can't use a generalization there.
