This may be a stupid question but....

If I had the PUPPP's rash (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy)
my first pregnancy does that mean I will have it with my second?

No..I had a friend who had it their first but not their second.

No I had it with my first, but not with this one or my second... I've read it is common with first pregnancies and/or twins...

I heard it was more common when your pregnant with boys, but I'm not sure if that's true. Something about the testosterone...i think? I'm probably way off..lol.

I don't know if that's true... My first was a girl... But she's hard headed like a boy so maybe that has something to do with it? LOL

It says it is more common for boys, big baby's and multiples so your right I'm just glad to hear other people have had it once then didn't again that was awful

It was! My doc thought that I had scabies (sp?) before he figured out it was PUPPPS... You know how embarrassing it is to go to the drug store for the medicine for that stuff? LOL

Lol I couldn't even imagine I just remember being in the NICU and there was one other mother who also had a boy early and she had PUPPP's as well and the nurse saying I don't know what is wrong with you two in the most disgusted way possible like we were dirty or something I wanted to scream/ cry all at the same time. On top of that they gave me Benadryl and the lactation consultant was so mad because it dried up my milk supply when they knew full well I wanted to breastfeed and all the nurse said was it takes longer for a baby to go in the NICU trying to breastfeed so I did you a favor   it was not a fun couple of weeks

Oh wow. What a b*tch. My doc gave me a shot in the butt and a prescription for Claritin (sp?) ... told me it would help, but wouldn't clear completely up until I had my daughter.... I also breastfed, and it didn't affect my milk (thank God.) Praying you don't have to deal with that a second time!
