open marriage?

what are your thoughts on it?

Not for me but i would never judge someone who decided to.

Nope wouldn't, couldn't and shouldn't. Defeats the purpose of marriage in my eyes.

i ask because me and hubby have talked about it, and i was the one were brought it up, its something that i think i would be okay with as long as there were a few rules,

SO and I are both pretty jealous people. I could never ever ever do it, and to me it isn't what marriage is about.. but if it TRULY works for these people then it's not my place to judge.

i am pretty sure i would be okay as long as i didnt see him do anything with one, because i know at the end of the day he is mine and his heart is with me and is family, sex is just sex

Nope, not for me. When I was pregnant my SO got drunk and fingered this girl, didn't tell me about it for a year and it STILL rips me up inside. Even though there was no emotional connection apart from them being friends (not even close friends).
I couldn't know my SO was out being intimate with someone else while I was at home looking after the kids, smurf that

One of my due date buddies from a prev pregnancy her and her exhusband both agreed on doing this and they set ground rules etc. well needless to say rules ended up being broken etc and now they are divorced. Not saying yours would be like that, just letting you know how theirs happened. And my friend wasnt a jealous type at all. Now on me I could not do it im jealous as hell when it comes to my man. I dont like to share.

I dont see what the point was in getting married if you were going to have an open marriage. My man is mine, heart and body, and i do NOT and will NOT share no matter what kinda rules there are. Thats almost like a smack in the face for either of to consider sleeping with someone else.

But to each their own.

we have a few rules we abide by, and any time we hit a relationship snag we close up shop to focus on us as a team. sex is just sex to us, it's just for fun as long as it's safe.

thats how it would be for us, if you dont mind me asking what are some of your rules?
the ones we came up with are
no one we have had feelings for(exs)
its just sex
no friends ( of the other)
and nothing can happen in our house or bed
and condoms are a must

Imo sex is never just sex my brother and his wife have an ipen marrage...they are now getting divorced

  not for me but every one is different why get wed if u want over people in your bed plus he/she may fall in love ith the over person
