well, I'rm unable to return to my former job I had before I went on leave to have my son. I had to resign my position the other day I was thinnnnnking......since I'm pretty awesome at graphic design, I maaay start up my own little 'on the side' business of creative invitations for my friends/family. It's just an idea right now, but I'm wondering if it will catch on or if people will even come to me. Possibly set up a FB page along with a paypal? with prices and my examples. See how it goes!? I worked at my local office max for over 2 years and I know how overly expensive their prices are for design work, so I was thinking of cutting those prices in half, and just charging for half of the cost to print and half of the price of envelopes (unless they choose to buy them on their own) as well as a simple general fee for my hours I put into their work.
any of you ladies started your own little business and it turn out pretty well? If so, how did you get your product out there to people!?

I just do it on the side, either by offering services here or through friends/family. What I do is just the design and I send the print-ready files to them. Make sure if you are going to print them and send envelopes that you include the cost of shipping and tax. There's also fiverr.com if you want to sell your designs for $5/design
Good luck!
