alcoholic spouse and hes sole bread winner

Anyone else? I'm so fed up and sort of stuck at the moment I'm 38 weeks and sick of hearing if I don't.like it.leave! Hes codependant even if he doesn't want to admit it. He also knows Damn well once baby comes and recover/adjust I can do fine on my own. I just wish he would stop taking me for granted. Any words?

Why not stay with family or friends for a couple of days. Bluff and see how quick he turns around.

We moved 3k miles away from family for his job. I lost friends because I worked too much and had to care for the house

i just got out of this situation. leave before it gets worse, seriously. i was with my man for 2.5y and he started hitting me a month ago. he would go to work and then go to the bar and spend all his money. i had to borrow money from family for food and diapers bc i currently am unemployed. he was arrested today for domestic battery and fractured my nose on thursday. alcoholism will not get better w/out professional help.

Omg I"m sorry to say he's not much of a man to do that to you ! You are a really strong person to get out of that. I really ,really wish my mother had of had that kinda courage back when I was little.

it took me too long to do it. this is te 2nd abusive relationship i've been in. the first was w/ an air duster huffer wen i was 18. i feel so bad but i couldn't put my kids through it. i love the man more than i've ever loved any man but he's a low life.

I honestly think some abusive men have a radar that goes off in their head , oh look there's someone I can abuse! doesn't matter now how long you where there don't be upset with yourself over it, mom was forever trying to fix dad . She had all the love in the world to give him, but inside him was a broken mess of a person. At least you got out and are moving on. I was a kid in that and it took mom 9 long years and too many beating to count before getting up the balls to move on. I can tell you to this day It's one of the things I'm most proud of her for... getting out and getting me out.
