Makes me giggle

I am fairly young with a huge baby bump and a loud toddler. So when I go into public in our small town I usually get a couple of dirty stares. It never fails at our local Safeway! Almost every time I'm in line I get an elderly lady behind me giving me a dirty look, asking how far along I am, how old my son is, etc. The dirty look is always on their face the entire time, although they ask the questions in a polite manner. The only time the dirty look goes away is when they spot my wedding rings.



I usually just ignore the dirty looks... but recently I got a rude comment. I was told that if I knew how to keep my legs shut I wouldn't have so many kids already and I wouldn't have to worry about "tracking down my baby daddies".

This woman was beyond rude. I could not believe that escaped her mouth! I politely informed her that I am married and that both of my kids have the same father. The only reason I am not wearing my rings is because my hands are too swollen.

Gah! I wanted to punch her.

The nerve of some people, its ridiculous!

I love when that happens! I apparently look 14 when I don't wear makeup, which I never do, but I have an almost 2 1/2 year old and am 33 weeks. Old ladies love to whisper about me because I'm not married(engaged but not getting married till after the baby is here) I just smile politely 90% of the time. Other times I'm a huge jerk in my response to them.  

Wow, talk about rude!! I would have severly flipped out and caused a scene.

I want to be a jerk sometimes, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't understand how some people can be so openly rude. She's lucky I didn't start crying.... The lady in front of me looked PISSED and then when I responded she smiled like HAH! lol

It unfortunately bothers me more than it should when people do that. I respond to uncomfortable situations with a snarky form of anger so I'm sure I come off as quite a b*tch lol.
I was recently purchasing pregnancy tests from the dollar store (I HAVE to have them on hand like 24/7 just in case lol) and while I was in check out my daughter who is 15 months decided to start fussing. The cashier saw the pregnancy tests and raised her eyebrows and the lady behind me snickered and said "well if you were a little more careful you wouldn't be in this situation."  
I gnawed on the decision to respond and was just about to keep my quiet when I eyeballed hemorrhoid cream amongst her items and said "well if you would eat more fiber you wouldn't be in this situation" she turned about seventy shades of red and didn't utter another word.

I wish I could be that mean! LOL I just am not for some reason. I used to be a big bitch and I had a hard time keeping my mouth shut. Now I just bite my tongue... Idk what changed.

I wear my rings on my pendant chain I had made for Maxwell. I look my age but I still don't have time for people giving me the side eye and ish. lol

I'm in the Bible Belt region of the country and some people darn near burn a hole through you with stares if you're pregnant/have children out of wedlock.

Oh my goodness! When I was pregnant with Kenneth a woman at the church gave Brett a card that read, "You need to go before God and repent the abomination you have impregnated your girlfriend with."

lmao! That just reminded me of a scene from the movie, For Colored Girls, when Whoopi Goldberg's character was anointing her daughter with oil and lighting incense and telling her to ask for forgiveness after having a back-alley abortion. She was like "that what was in you was sin, it'd had to be destroyed."

Sad that some people (in real life) actually think like that though. I mean I believe children are a gift from God. so I am not sure how something that comes directly from God's hands can be a sin or abomination.

I was nice my first pregnancy this one on the other hand is just making me into a jerk. I don't deal well with the stares and comments. I think people just get on my nerves 10x more than they used to.

I didn't used to always be like this. It wasn't until I had my daughter that I turned into this lol. I got so tired of the backhanded compliments that I started to say what I was thinking instead of smiling and pretending like it didn't bother me, when it did. Especially since we cloth diaper, non vaxx and buy organic I get the uber nosey old people making snarky comments all the time.
Best comeback ever though was when I checking out at Target. The sales lady was laughing so hard with my comeback that she peed her pants   lol

Dude, I work in a care home for the elderly, try walking around that place with a big ol' swollen belly and no ring on your finger  

I'm extremely self conscious as it is, I'm pale-as in transparent, extremely shy, and as anyone will tell you I look like I'm 12. I go through the double takes, the "seriously?!" when asked my age, being asked why I am not in school alllll the time, ect. I've actually been worried once when me and my other half were getting these weird looks from a cop once. He thought it was funny, going they must think I'm a pedo (which isn't a funny subject obviously but ya know.) So this should be interesting.

My entire family, besides my non religious brother, is disowning me for being pregnant and unmarried. Good times man.

Sorry you had such an awful time though.   I'd be stunned and an emotional wreck so I applaud you for your maturity shown back at such a rude event.
