We will sleep until judgement day, then those who have accepted Christ will join Jesus in the New Jerusalem (Heaven).

This not only what I believe but the evidence seems to suggest this. There is no end to life. The body will die but it is just a shell. The first stage of death is the out of body experience. At first the soul may be confused as it had spent many decades inside the body and may need a moment to adapt to its condition. They may even become upset if they are trying to communicate with the living but no one can hear or see them but eventually they adapt to their state joyfully once thet realize they are free and are no longer bound by gravity space or time. Eventually they enter the dark tunnel and go towards the light and enter into that plane of heaven. Then there is the life review which is often mistaken as the judgement but there is no such thing as the judgement the way think there is. The soul relives their whole and also relives it through everyone they ever feeling there pain and joy that was caused by the soul. The being of light who takes them on this life review does not judge but rather provides loving guidance and allows the soul to reflect on the life just lived. After that I believe the soul will enjoy that current level of heaven based on their current developement until they are reborn into another body to continue another of what will probably be many more earthly journeys. Whether or not a person believes in Jesus or not will not matter. Our earthly journeys is much more about a spiritual journey rather than a religious one and I don't believe anyone is going to questioned whether they believed in Jesus or some other religious figure.
