New parenting plan

Okay so I'm most definitely getting some poster boards to write the rules of the house and our schedules down so the kids always know what to expect when they are here. Good idea right?

Also i'm going to try positive reinforcement instead of being so hard on them. I guess I'm gonna learn to just take a breath and address it correctly.

Stickers will be your best friend if you use them for chores, good behaviors, etc.  

That is a good idea. I've been planning on doing the same thing.

Ohhh I forgot about that. i'm making me a "need to get" list right now. Thank you! Also what chores would be appropriate for a 2 and 3 year old.

Like I know clean up toys..but what else? I know on Cylus's we are going to put poop on potty because he is always forgetting.

My mom would do this every year. We would get 2 months in and we would start to slack and she would stop caring. haha

Put dirty clothes in the hamper.
Brush teeth/take a shower/take a bath

They could help with sweeping, making their beds (if they have toddler beds) or even for brushing their teeth, their hair, little things. If they show they can help with more, add it on

Making beds? Putting plates/bowls etc in the sink or dishwasher after meals? Helping feed pets/fish. Umm, helping water plants. Taking their clothes to the laundry room/putting clothes in laundry basket?

That might give you some ideas lol.

yea alot of that they already do!   They are generally good kids, but ever since it was court ordered they go see their dad again things have gotten out of hand. This is my project for the weekend while they are there.

Its not gonna happen like that in my house. I can't let it slack. My worst fear is they are gonna turn out like their dad.

I'm in the process of fighting it still. He only has them 24 hrs a month which is a plus but still it is hard on them. They don't like going there and me having to be the bad guy about it sucks. He just ditches them anyways.

Its just like all the unfit parent smurf that I have against him doesn't matter, but if it was me it would matter and CPS would have my kids. I'm hoping the whole schedule and regularly planned stuff works.

How old are you children? I could give you tips on what my mom does for the younger kids..and it really works.
