ugh! boyfriend rant....

ok so he has been so weird since we found out I'm pregnant. Then when he left for work tonight he started texting me saying some smurf like I've been bugging him with the way I've been acting lately. Well excuse me if I'm acting slightly different! I'm kind of growing a person in my uterus, so I may be a little different! Ugh.. I know he can't possibly understand what is going on in my head but he could try.. I can't be the only one.

he still may be getting used to the idea of you being pregnant since like you said its growing inside of you so its a bit more real. maybe hes stressed and just needs to refocus

when i found out i was pregnant i went back home while my bf stayed in california to get his smurf together. so over the phone he was being JUST like that...god..for the longest time. it is REALLY frustrating. he'll never know what its like, but i told my boyfriend to start doing research about pregnant women if he wants to comprehend me at the very least. i know how you feel!

you know that saying that goes something like a woman becomes a mom when shes pregnant but a dad becomes a dad when he first holds the baby... its true in A LOT of ways.. it doesnt seem real to most men cause they cant feel/experience the things we do when were pregnant.. they just see cranky emotional women getting bigger until one day they are handed a baby then it all becomes real for them...

yeah, he just says he's tired.. then he went on this rant about just wanting to cook without me telling him it smells awful. lol. well im sorry, my nose is crazy right now and somethings he cooks make me gag.. I just told him he can't be selfish anymore. I can't so neither can he. I have to read labels and watch everything I eat to make sure it's safe for baby.. I can't smoke like he can. Least I don't bitch about that.

Give him some time. My SO acted a little off, but he was happy. I think maybe your SO is nervous.

I'm only 5 weeks and some odd days.. So i'm just getting used to this too. I just wish he could be more understanding.

My dh always says I'm different when I'm pregnant I don't even notice, I guess it's hard for them to see these changes that there not happy with and not really understand why it's happening! Best just talk to him let him vent his frustration and then try explain why we act a little off when carrying children...
