Washing baby's clothes?

When did you start washing your baby's clothes? Did it depend on anything or just when you felt like it? I'm dying to start getting everything ready for her.

My baby's room isn't done yet, it needs flooring is all. Then we need a dresser (we might be getting that before the floor is totally done though). But we're having trouble with the flooring and so I really want to just wash her clothes already, or at least the second the dresser gets in the door. But then we have to still bring it upstairs full.

Would you just wait? What can I do to distract myself and still feel like I'm preparing for her?

I've started washing mine... As I wash them, I'm putting them in a tote (I still need to paint her dresser) It gives me something to do and makes me feel like I'm getting prepared.... Which passes the time.

36ish weeks

I am 28 weeks today, and I started washing Bailey's clothes last night. I washed 3 loads of clothes and got them all put up. Only thing that needs to be done in her room is just to finish decorating. I organized all the tags and receipts earlier this week, also. From now on, I'll wash a load as soon as I have a full load.

I was waiting on getting her dressers in her room and finding the best way to organize all the tags and receipts before doing it.

I had planned to do it about 30-35wks. But went Ito preterm labor at 22wks and was told it wouldn't be much longer before she came, so I washed everything as soon as I got home. Rewashed it all at 30wks then 37 and had her at 37.5 lol

I have enough for at least 2 loads. But nowhere to put them   That's the only reason I'm waiting. I was just curious if anyone waited till it got closer, I still have 7w 6d to go but I really wish everything was already set up :/

We washed them this past Friday, which made me 36 weeks.

my husband and i both were washing clothes as we got them. when they all were washed we got a dresser and he just threw them in there and for the past week ive spent my time reorganising them with stages
