diapers .

im going to start buying diapers soon, i want to have enough for 6 + months , so i was thinking boxes but like this :

newborn : 1 box
size 1 : 2 boxes
size 2 : 2 boxes
size 3 : 2 boxes

and then just buy packages if need be, but thats almost 400 diapers each size except newborn which has 210 ? i think. is this enough to last a couple months ?

Go pack by pack with newborn, don't buy a box. I used the 20 newborn diapers the hospital gave me, but by then he was size 1. They stay in 1 and 2 for awhile.

I went through 2 boxes of newborn..

didn't even get through one box of ones or twos lol

3's he has been in a couple months.

he is now going to 4's at 6 months.

thats what i was thinking but i wasn't sure, my dd was a premie and went from premie to size 1, never any newborns but i heard they outgrow them quickly lol

Dd was in size 2 and size 4 the longest. Now she is 19 months old and she is still in a size 4.

see thats what i want enough for 6 months to a year , just incase god forbid money gets tight or something goes wrong and not enough money for diapers , i dont think that would ever happen but you never know.

I wouldn't buy boxes, I'd just get gift cards to go buy diapers once the baby is gone. If you're afraid you'll spend them, give them to someone you can trust to hold on to them. You don't know what brands will work best for baby until you HAVE baby. For us, HUGGIES worked as a newborn and then it was Pampers once he got bigger and more active. If you insist on buying diapers, get only a pack or two of newborns...you can always go back for more. I had two packs of newborn, and then went out and got two more once he was through those two packs since I didn't know how quickly he would grow. He didn't even use size 1 and only used size 2 for a month and a half before going into size 3 diapers. He was in size 3 until 8 months and then was put into size 4 which he's worn ever since. He still fits in 4's at 2.5yrs old.

i like that idea but ill just put away money, i didnt have a baby shower with dd and im not with this one, no one will buy me anything ethier , not even a gift lol , my family, well who speaks to me anyways isnt like that, everything for baby is all on you, even when i was 14 , but im glad they did that. but thats a good idea, thanks !

I have started buying diapers too. Have quite a few newborns and starting on size ones now. My thought is if the baby out grows the newborn one I can take them and trade them in for the size I need. I also am taking part at a pregnacy life line where I can get diapers too so for any open packs I will trade or give to them.
