That would be awesome because after 4 c-sections my stomach is shot

Maybe when you talk later you can convince him! Just tell him how much it means to you, and that he will never understand the pain and discomfort we go through and since he can't go through it for you the least he can do is make sure you're as calm and comfy as possible. Tell him you're willing to make the money yourself if you have to!

He's not budging now. I'm just going to not allow them to do my c/s early I guess. 40 weeks is the earliest. I don't care what the OB says.

I called the OB I had w/ B & he doesn't allow vba2c unless you've had a prior vaginal delivery regardless of circumstances.

whoa! i'm 14 weeks today!

sorry, haven't been in here much and there is just soooo much going on in here, lol. it's hard to keep up with it even if i just miss a day or two.

anyway, i had an appt. last week and i brought my 6 year old with me and we both got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time! it was so cool and i'm so glad my daughter could share it with me! they said baby was moving around a lot again, too, haha! also, i have been sick with a cold for about 3 weeks now. i went to the dr last week and they put me on antibiotics. i'm feeling better now, so by friday, i should be done with the pills and feeling back to my old self!

how's everyone else doing?

I know a lot of hospitals are different about that but I do know that at least one hospital here that's known for being very good for natural births allows you to bring your own tub and has some rooms with tubs. A midwife with privileges at the hospital would know best. Like Alexis said, I'm betting they don't allow actual birthing in the water, which is stupid, honestly.

Your insurance doesn't cover midwives? I have blue cross/blue shield. They cover CNMs but if they're out of network (which all the ones who do home births and birth centers are) then there's a higher deductible and they only cover at a 60% rate. And all the ones that are in my network are in OB practices, so they only deliver in hospitals and you're billed exactly as if you were seeing an OB in the practice.

Yeah there's no hospitals around here that allow water births, or that allow midwifes to be the one to be your doctor. You have to hav an OB to give birth in the hospital and if you are having a home birth and end up having to go to the hospital, even the one the midwives have priveleges at, your baby will still be delivered by the OB on call while the midwife helps or whatever the OB allows her to do basically.

awesome! i was relieved when i saw mine too! i saw baby around 5 weeks because i went in thinking i was about 8 or 9 weeks, when i was only 5 going on 6, lol. so, yeah, i understand the relief! and each time you hear the heartbeat, it's another sigh of relief too, lol! i've actually been able to feel the baby with my hand, too, pressing on my belly. i love to poke my belly, haha! when i was pregnant with my daughter, i was always poking my belly too. when i touch a certain spot, i can feel a heart beating that doesn't match mine, and the other day, i felt something kind of "roll" under my hand. lol, it was cool! i don't believe it was gas. though, i do have that more now, lol!

Hey ladies. My phone is turned off and I'm in the middle of packing to move in with my boyfriend in a week, soooo I haven't been on. I'm doing well and as far as I know, baby is peachy. I'll be 12 weeks on thursday and I have an appointment on friday, so I'll make an effort to pop on then and update.
