Biggest Pregnancy Pet-Peeve?

This is kind of long so I will ask my question first: what is your biggest pregnancy pet-peeve? (Now, if you feel like reading my rant you are more than welcome lol)
My biggest pregnancy pet-peeve is when people try to tell me what I can and can't do and "be careful" or "let me do it for you". I know my limits, I am NOT going to put my child in danger, leave me the hell alone!
My MIL is the biggest offender of this. A few weeks ago I had to take my cat to the vet so I stopped at her house to grab her cat carrier. I was already running 10 minutes late and she wasn't home so I called her up and told her I was gonna run in the garage and get it but she told me that I wasn't allowed to because it was on top of the fridge in the garage and I would "have to climb to get it" (mind you I am 1.5ft taller than her) and she would be home in about 5 minutes. I went in and grabbed it anyway (I didn't even have to stand on my tip-toes to get it). Then yesterday my husband had to put my daughter's carseat in his mother's car (which is a long story I won't get into) and so when I went to take it out and put it back in my truck to take her home his mother followed me out to try to help (because I'm not allowed to do that either because I had to "climb into the truck"). So she messed with it for 10 minutes with no luck (at 1130 at night, I was exhaused after working a 16hr shift) and finally let me do it, it took me 3 minutes from one vehicle to the other (all the while she freaked out telling me to be careful).... Should have let me do it in the first place!!! Oh, and on July 4, we went to the fireworks with his family where we sat on a hill, the same hill I have been sitting on to watch the fireworks for, oh maybe 22 of my 24 years. Well, on our way back to the vehicle she thought she had to hold my hand because she didn't want me to fall, meanwhile I ended up pretty much pulling HER up the hill ("I just don't want you to fall!" "Watch where you're going!")... WTF? OK, end rant. Sorry, I am in a particularly bitchy mood this morning because I am super tired (because God-forbid she not give my daughter a huge glass of Choc milk before bed therefore my daughter pee'd the bed last night and I had to get up and deal with it)...

My mom & her pregnancy myths were my biggest pet peeve. It just drove me up a wall.

Mine was my step dad lecturing me about what I was eating/drinking. If I didn't have a glass of water in my hand at all times, he would bitch at me about it. Even in the beginning, when I was puking my guts up every day, he would get pissed if I didn't eat/drink enough to satisfy him. The worst part is that he's still doing it, because I'm breastfeeding and he thinks he knows best. He says I'm starving my daughter because I don't drink whole milk

My mom has her pregnancy myths too but she at least tries to keep her myths/opinions to herself... lol

I hate when I first tell people I'm pregnant and they're like "Oh, I bet it's twins." Like WTF? I wish I had a dollar for every time someone said it's twins. I just tell them if it's twins I'm giving them one, lol.

Also, now that this is our third baby, each time we announce we are pregnant people are like "Was it planned? Can you guys handle 3?" etc. Like seriously? Is that any of your smurfing business for one thing, and for another, thanks for having faith in us, lol. I also hate when people ask if I'm getting my tubes tied after I have this baby. People completely lose their filters when they are around pregnant women, I swear.

My MIL has been a total pain in the ass so far this pregnancy....if I make it through without punching her teeth in, it'll be a miracle.

i'm with OP on this one. I definitely know what I am and am not capable of, and it varies day to day anyway. I promise I will ask for help if I need it!!!

Holy cow, my MIL is anxiety-ridden but she's not that bad---at all. That would irritate the crap out of me!

I guess I don't have any major pet peeves. Everyone says how small I am for how far along I am...and I really hate pointing out that being 6 ft tall-it doesn't appear as large as on shorter women. In addition I have a tilted uterus, but really, who wants to discuss uterus positioning with total strangers...(like I just did here...;) ) lol.

People asking/telling me I must be having more than one or that I was going to deliver early because I was so big. I was very aware of how big my stomach was it's not like it was hard to miss, but I didn't need people talking smurf about it all the time. And traffic was another thing that set me off. SO would barely let me drive anytime we were going somewhere together because I would get so worked up haha

My biggest one was throughout my whole pregnancy friends would comment everywhere on stuff I could and couldn't have. Two of my friends even got into a heated debate on whether or not I could have caffeine... on my freakin status. I eventually deleted most of my friends and now I have like 20 cause I just couldn't handle it.

I hate when people ask me if i'm engaged to the father of the baby in my tummy with accusing looks and judgement because my first baby's father ran off right away and never came back..... The crappy part is this babys father is doing the same thing so I have to face the firing squad all over again. It's almost like admitting something terrible when I have to reply " no .. neither of the fathers are involved " ... I feel like I may as well be saying " i'm a tramp and I get pregnant by any joe shmoe " .... but thats not the case. I was in good relationships with both men . ( or what I thought to be good ) .. i just happened to pick guys who like to run from responsibility.
Oh I also hate when people ask me if I can handle two on my own. If I couldn't handle it.. I would do adoption or other options. Can't you just congratulate me or is that only for married couples?

I hate people like that! There is such thing as over-eating while pregnant, and I don't know about you but if I drink too much water it makes me sick... Friggin' know-it-alls!

Haha, well yeah, mine too. But I am better at controlling myself around her when I'm not pregnant.

We've been avoiding going over to her house b/c the last time we were there both me and my husband almost chewed her ass out (she made some snide remark over a possible baby name).

I HATE drinking a ton at one time. It makes me sick, too. I can hear it sloshing around in my belly....ughhhh.

Oh and on top of all that smurf is the daily crap of her telling me I shouldn't be carrying my daughter. She is 3, if she is awake she walks, if she is sleeping I carry her. I know what I am capable of and my 27lb daughter isn't going to make me lose this baby.... I almost, being a smart ass, had my dr write a note for her saying I am able to carry my daughter (and he would have if I asked lol)
